Energy
Energy drives all life. Nature gets most of its energy from the sun and recycles it through biomass. As nature’s beings, so can we. I was a solar developer for over a decade and I know renewable technologies, when combined, can provide most of our energy needs in the very near term.
I’m not naïve about what’s possible and neither are the major utilities and institutional investors who are all in on renewables. Even the MAGA movement is on board now that they realize US AI competitiveness depends on winning the energy race too. Just look to Texas which now hosts the most utility scale solar in the US, even more than California, although California has more total solar still thanks to smaller systems.
This section of PlanetEarth.com explores the accelerating shift toward cheaper, cleaner, smarter, forms of energy. Here you will find companies, projects, and technologies, transforming how power is generated, stored, shared, and used. From solar, wind, geothermal, and storage to grid modernization, building electrification, community energy, and efficiency, this is where we highlight the fact that a clean, renewable energy future is within our grasp right now.
