GOOD news! Congress OKs Historic Climate Bill

Congress passed sweeping environmental legislation today that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions from automobiles, trucks, coal-burning power plants and other polluters by a whopping 50% by 2027.  The president applauded the new requirements, calling passage of the Forever Green Act "a decision as historic as the United States' commitment to put a man on the moon."  Comparing the benefits humankind will reap from the tougher environmental regulations to the countless technological and economic benefits that came out of the space program, she said, "The Forever Green Act is an investment in the future - our children's future, our economic future, and the future of our planet!"  Read more here
