Humankind is inseparable from nature.  We share the Earth with all living things.  Centuries of population and economic growth have removed many of us from our natural environment, however.  Today, most people have little or no connection to the resources they consume.  This lack of connection to the Earth - including the lack of a basic understanding of how to live in ways that can be sustained socially, environmentally and economically - must be changed.
